The class action was filed on behalf of former All-Pro defensive back Bernard P. Parrish, Hall of Fame defensive back Herbert A. Adderley, former wide receiver Walt Roberts, and certain classes consisting of other retired football players. This suit alleges breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unjust enrichment, and violation of the California unfair competition law against Players Inc., and its parent, the National Football League Players Association, the players' union. The suit also seeks an accounting for royalties and license fees collected by Players Inc.
